Anadol: 55 years old and still on roads...

Mr. Vehbi Koc, Turkish businessman and industrialist, had a dream to manufacture a domectic car in Turkey. In 1928, he was a Ford dealer in Ankara. After the World War II, he was dealing with Italian Fiat to produce tractor in Turkey. In 1959, he was manufacturing Ford trucks in Otosan. In 1960, Otosan started to manufacture Ford Thames trucks and Ford Consul cars in its assembly line. In 1961, Ford Thames Trader minibus assembly line has been added to the production; and  240 Ford Taunus 17M estate cars have been produced within 1963-1965.  And it was the right time for a national car.

Volvo had the first safety belts in 1849. The first U.S. patent for automobile seat beats was issued to Edward J. Claghorn of New York, New York on February 10, 1885. Claghorn was granted United States Patent #312,085 for a Safety-Belt for tourists, described in the patent as "designed to be applied to the person, and provided with hooks and other attachments for securing the person to a fixed object."

According to 2008 data from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, 2,983 individuals were killed in car accident related crashes. Of these traffic deaths, 1,795 individuals were either drivers or passengers in safety belt equipped vehicles. Sixty percent (1,085) of these people killed were not wearing a safety belt.

F1 2013 goes to Red Bull and Vettel...

When the grid lined up at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in Brazil there were just 71 laps, almost 306 kilometers, until the end of the 2013 season. Sometimes the circuit in Interlagos is deciding a Championship winner or showcasing new talent, and sometimes it's merely deciding a winner. This year was the latter. 2013 World Champion Sebastian Vettel in the first Infiniti Red Bull Racing lined up in front of Nico Rosberg in the first Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Fernando Alonso in the first Ferrari, Mark Webber in the second Red Bull and his final Formula One race, Lewis Hamilton in the second Mercedes, Romain Grosjean in the Lotus, Daniel Ricciardo in the first Toro Rosso and his final race for the team before moving to Red Bull, his teammate Jean-Éric Vergne, Felipe Massa in the second Ferrari and Nico Hülkenberg in the Sauber.
